Welcome baby girl in Lakewood | Cleveland, Ohio lifestyle newborn photographer

As soon as I walked into this home in Lakewood, Ohio I felt so welcomed. As a lifestyle newborn photographer, I visit a lot of homes. It’s always so nice to photograph a family in their home, their safe space, their place of comfort.

I’m sure this little girl will have a great childhood growing up on the lake since their home overlooks Lake Erie. Looking at a body of water is very calming to me and I’m sure that is exactly the reason these parents chose this neighborhood.

During a newborn session I usually start with the living room and other rooms on the first floor and then I work my way to the bedrooms starting with the nursery and parents bedroom where I can use their big bed for some solo portraits of the baby. Many moments unfold easily along the way and many are posed in a natural way. I never want my photography to feel still and unnatural but warm, full of love and raw.
