Studio Maternity Shoot - Cleveland, Ohio

Photographing pregnant women is one of my greatest passions. I recall my own pregnancies with fondness and most of all gratitude. It’s a momentous time for a woman, a time I don’t take lightly. Every maternity shoot is incredibly special to me and know, that it’s really a great honor to be your photographer. My maternity shoots in the studio are rush-free and very laid-back. You will never feel pressured or hurried.

Below you will find some answers to frequently asked questions.

When should my photoshoot take place?

Typically a maternity shoot is done between 30-35 weeks of pregnancy. At that time your bump is a nice size to be photographed. Any later, you may start feeling uncomfortable plus it’s too close to the due date running into the risk oh having the baby before the shoot.

Do you provide a wardrobe?

No, but I do have a white button down shirt (the one you see above). I also have a variety of fabrics I use for artistic body draping. Other than that, nothing else. My style is minimalistic so I keep it simple. The simpler the better in my opinion. If you need any advice about where to find something, please ask. The options are endless. Even if you have jeans and a white button down it can be varied into 3-4 different looks. Jeans and topless, jeans and shirt with bra, jeans with shirt only, shirt only! These are 4 completely different looks that photograph beautifully! Plus add some flowers like baby’s breath and you have a 5th outfit. Nude can be your 6th!

Do you provide professional hair and make-up?

Yes, for the full package options. The petite (one-outfit) package does not include hair-and-make-up. I work with a handful of make-up artists that I trust and they all do beautiful work. If you are someone that is comfortable with your own make-application, you may want to skip this option. I always encourage a natural look as opposed to over-done to keep these more natural. All of my make-up artists do a beautiful job with natural and timeless hair and make-up.

How long does a shoot last?

A petite (one-outfit) shoot is no longer than 45-60 mins in length. A full package shoot without make-up is around 90-120 mins. Even though it seems long, it flies by so fast! Account about 20 mins per outfit/look. We chat, we laugh and take beautiful photographs along the way! I have a variety of healthier snacks available in the studio but if your are someone that is a strict diet, bring a lunch! Add 75-90 mins if you are including hair and make-up in your shoot!
